The final game of the day proved highly entertaining with a very skilled and well-trained Cusacks team losing out to a star studded Clan na Gael team. Cusacks started off very well and were full of running and precise hand passing but despite all their hard work they failed to put the scores on the board. The second half was a different story with wind assisted Clan getting some easy scores.

The final score of 1-11 to 1- 2 was not a true reflection of the game and there were some fine performances in the Cusack ranks. Unfortunately some of their best movements broke down without resulting in a score and they were also guilty of some bad wides. Best for Cusacks on the day were Paul Maher, Colm Coyle and Quanah McBride

However, despite the loss, trainer Darren Kierse and manager, Micheal Cunningham are confident that brighter days are ahead for this team.
