Michael Cusacks GAA Club
Newsletter 2004

Welcome:
Welcome to the Cusacks End of Season Presentation Night. We hope you enjoy your night at the Gaelic Club. A big effort has been made to ensure the success of tonight and a big thank you is due to the ticket sellers and all who helped decorate and set up for tonight.

THE SEASON THAT WAS:

The GAA season in NSW ended on Sunday 12th of September with the NSW GAA Championship Finals in all three codes. Unfortunately only the ladies team achieved the required grade to appear on finals day in which they displayed incredible tenacity and will to win. They excelled in their favourites tag to win on a score-line of 3-14 to 1-06 against Clan. Niamh Bonar took Best and fairest award from the final.
The hurlers were beaten by the Shamrocks in their enthralling semi final and the lads failed to get past Young Irelands in an epic battle despite mighty efforts from majority of hurling team playing their second game of the day.
Again the positive the ladies had a fantastic year, pipped in the coast competition our ladies went on to remain unbeaten in the league and championship battles which was a testament to them. First was a great league triumph with an 8-10 to 1-06 victory, followed by an equally great championship win, a remarkable achievement for which they must be complemented. Our hurlers won the Coast tournament with a battling final performance. Our lads did win the pre-season comp but just failed in league and championship semi finals.
In all a successful year, with each sets of competitions held we had a victorious team. Friendships were formed, outings were arranged, sessions were organised and lots of team bonding happened!!!!!! Cusacks are now building for an even better season next year with more trophies to come no doubt. Cusacks Abu !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
